I made this mockup for my current WIP, (I Fell In Love With) The Majesty of Colors.  You play the creature beneath the waves.

It's gonna be fun slicing this up and figuring out how to make the pixelliness work in Actionscript 3 with all the waves and stuff animated.

ah!  I love the concept.  The title.  The visuals.  I'm feeling vaguely skeptical about what I can infer of the gameplay though.  BE SURE TO GIVE IT LOTS OF SOUL OR YOU'LL BE DOING YOURSELF A GREAT DISSERVICE.

Shocked Well, I wasn't feeling nervous about it before... but now I sort of feel pressured!  Especially since I'm not sure about the details of the gameplay myself... I was sorta planning on figuring it out as I went along...  Sad

No, Greg, pull it together.  You can do this.

thanks m, you should give the background a hspeed and vspeed to make it go diagonally btw.

so

background_hspeed[whatever number it is] = value
background_vspeed[whatever number it is] = same value

Forgive my rather overbearing excitement, please.  I wish you great success with your development Smiley  (keep us updated...)

I like that mockup a lot, Gregory. Incidentally, it looks like it would fit into the Lovecraft competition perfectly, what with ancient hideous creatures living under the sea etc etc. Is this an entry?

I tried some to make some strange background voices for my game, it ended in a quite interesting way with an unexpected result! The attached file was generated with a kind of feedback loop (audio out connected to microphone in) and a reverb unit... It seems that inaudible clicks from the mic line can cause great cave-like sounds when amplified and reverbed. Cool base for a new type of synthesizer! Its like circuit bending with intact computers...

I'd like for it to be, but I'd also like to make money off of it, which means getting a sponsorship before release... so probably a late entry.

Not bad. I think you should give him a big-ass belt, though.
