You might remember The Legend of Princess by Konjak- It was a quick unfinished side-scroller that I thought was fucking excellent.

The same guy just made a new game which, again, is a quick unfinished side-scroller that I think is excellent. It takes about half an hour to play and has a bunch of fun ideas. The art and music's adorable and it's got another great boss fight.

It's mostly like Metroid, with a Zelda bit in the middle where you run about and talk to people. The plot's kind of interesting but it's too short to really get into and I hate anime-isms; not the best game ever but whatevs. Good enough to last half an hour.

Just beat it. I thought the art in Legend of Princess was a bit stronger, but this leaves me wanting for more and it hints at more things to come. I want to explore and know about this world.

Oooh, I was going to post about the same thing! He's had that screenshot on his site for... years! I think. The game's so sweet. I mean, yeah, I get a Cave Story vibe, like Konjak's stated, but honestly it's already going in its own direction. A super cute, but surprisingly dark one.

I've got a feeling this is going to stay as it is, forever, but I really hope it doesn't. Played it through twice. Would love to see what happens to Robin, Mina, The Agents (so that's where Konjak's avatar is from!) and why the moon is breaking apart. Also, The Second Boss (and lead up to the second boss) was great!


So. Will we be so lucky as to see more of them?

This was also my favorite game of his.  Beat it twice and it was great both times!  The story is so unique and interesting.  Unfortunately, we will never know the rest of the story... NOOOOO

I thought the gameplay in this was fun, but kind of generic and predictable. I loved the story though, it really captured the feel of a good anime series, something like Last Exile or Scrapped Princess.

Played through this yesterday when I saw it posted at TDC.  Good stuff, and I think it's some of Konjak's most enjoyable work... except for the dang wrenching!  Urgh, I crippled my poor fingers doing that.

I played this a couple days ago. I found the designs and graphics really damn cute but it was the mugshots that bothered me. 

The second boss fight was just amazing though.
