Looks (and especially sounds) like shit to me. I don't care about Langdell's involvement, I just don't see anything remotely interesting in that teaser.
Agreed. I think we can all agree that the premise looks stupid--I was just surprised at the production values.

I wonder what language it was originally filmed in, if you look at the other video, it looks dubbed when they talk at the end.

No, I honestly think Teenage Wasteland would be fun to watch, in the same way as Plan 9 from Outer Space or The Tay Bridge Disaster.

I think Teenage Wasteland looks awesome.
Like some sort of ridiculously exagerated parody.

NeoStarr posted this in the comments of this Kotaku article: Hey guys, I just went to check out the original article and found an unapproved commenter had provided some interesting details about him that we previously couldn't see. I can't vouch for the validity of the commenter, but he claims to have worked for Tim and has some interesting things to say. An excerpt...
"This is not really news to me or most of the staff working for The Edge/Softek/ACE/RAD/Mico Selection at the time, it was a regular thing that he in fact took people to court, did not pay wages and generally ripped everyone off including his distributors."
Might be worth a look. I'm working on my own post for TIGSource about the latest situation.

while that may be a bit unrealistic I'm starting to wonder if it would be possible for someone to file a class action suit for tortuous interference or harassment or something? Has he F'd with enough people for his victims to constitute a class?
it is late I am probably talking nonsense!

If you are an IGDA member then you can personally write to the new Director. It will do more good than posting on forums/blogs, as he is not interested in anything written on such things apparently. I have already heard interesting things come from writing directly to him. I know you may not respect the fact he hasn't come from games Adam, but he has apprently run associations before, so at least there's that.

I'm still wondering why I don't see people talking about this on any other forums. Maybe we should do something about that, at least? Y'know, spread the word a little.

There's a thread on almost every gaming forum I go to.

Guess it's not where it matters, because Mr. Langdell is still kicking butt. So much for gaming forums.

he has apprently run associations before This is a good point! I'd definitely encourage members to write to him about their issues with Langdell's board membership. However, my opinion of non-profits and industry associations in general is low enough that I really am not expecting action from anybody at the IGDA on anything ever; this has been their MO for a decade already!

I live really far away (like 6000 miles ), but the people that live in California could do a manifestation at the door of EDGE games. That will surely draw some media attention. For organization: a forum thread could be made, and every interested user (going or not going to the call) could post on their forums pointing to that thread. Just an idea.
