Somebody needs to post an appropriate image macro thing now, I feel. Until then I don't think the rebuilding can begin, one edge at a time.

And thus, he fades back to obscurity.

Indie devs have lost their favorite bogeyman. I'm sensing a massive power vacuum here.

I'm a bit confused. Isn't this just abandonment of the "EDGE" mark? What about the rest of his "family" of trademarks? Are they considered part of the "EDGE" mark?

He currently still has all the others. And remember this is only the US trademark, his european trademarks are unaffected.

That's what I figured/feared. So did he abandon this specific trademark himself, or did the USPTO cancel it (and only this specific one) based on the court order?

So you thought this was all over when Langdell had is US trademark cancelled? You were wrong. Future publishing has now laid the smack down on poor old Timmy for his UK trademark. Full story - http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/06/16/tim-langdell-loses-in-future-edge-trial/What I find amazing is that Future Publishing had already coughed up $275,000 to Langdell without offering any resistance. Just shows how lucrative his scam has been.

There's only one hope for Langell now.
He must unleash his true power by performing the Buscaglia Boogie!

I don't get why he wasn't actually forced to repay the money to Future / other scam-ees (or more likely take some time in the nick as the cash is long gone?) Kinda surprises me that he just walks away after all the people he's screwed!

This guy's web of lies never ceases to amaze me! And, like it was said in the RPS article, I can't believe he's not being charged with being in contempt of court or outright perjury. Can you really lie all you want in court without any direct consequences?
