Hmm, Team Ninja you say? Very interesting.

Metroid Prime 3 was my favorite console shooter of all time mostly due to the excellent control scheme and gameplay. It'll be interesting to see how this is.

Redeemed themsleves? It's just more dead horse beating.

To a certain extent that is true.

It is sad when I found out this was Metroid I was kind of like meh.

*edit* I just saw the video ( I posted this as I was waiting for it to load) and I just ahve to say !!!    do my eyes deceive me or did they make a FPS/3rd person hybrid? Because if that is the case, then that is frigging awesome!

Don't get me wrong I love Metroid and I thought the last game was amazing but I just don't get as excited these days for the same old same old. I wish Nintendo would come out with some new IPs...

The Nintendo horses are already nothing but bloody puddles with a few bits of organs and bone here and there. Sad

I'm surprised Tecmo wanted anything to do with Nintendo after NOA refused to publish Fatal Frame Wii outside of Japan.

I'm also surprised that Nintendo handed the responsibility of telling Samus' backstory off to the developers of Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. Because if there's one thing Team Ninja does well, it's tell compelling stories about non-sexualized female characters. Droop

I want to make a comment on how Nintendo is milking stuff, too and how it can't redeem itself, but I just can't.

Too busy squealing like a girl at a Jonas Brothers concert.

Apart from that, though, Team Ninja did make me raise an eyebrow or two. I also couldn't quite make out of this is 2.5D gameplay with the occasional first-person aiming thrown in, or if this is essentially Ryu Hayabusa in a Varia Suit.

Also, is it me or was that Mother Brain as in the final boss of Super Metroid?

Oh. That is... interesting. It heavily reminds me of all these super-cool Super Smash Brothers fighting moves. And I really WANT to play this game, if it's bad or not. It's also cool to have a (seems so) more story-based Metroid game where you can actually see Samus as some kind of feeling person. On the other side I really, really want to have some kind of a ... more classic metroid game. Prime 1 was a master piece, Prime 2 was too graphics-heavy (they replaced characteristic elements with flat, new concept-artsy gameplay things) but Prime 3 was getting better while being a bit strange sometimes (although it came closer to previous 2D titles than any other 3D Metroid so far). I hated Prime Hunters. Pure junk food - poison! So... the new game looks interesting but not like the "real Metroid" we all want to have.
