I liked everything about Wind Waker BUT that boat. Even in Phantom Hourglass where you could just draw a line. I thought Miyamoto was going to redo Zelda after he saw Shadow of Colossus? It's mentioned in this article. While I liked TP somewhat, and Midna was a really really cool character, I found the game pretty blah, and the world not as interesting or exciting as OoT or ALttP. And... I won't believe that the girl's somehow related to the master sword until I actually see it confirmed in-game. Also, I hope this doesn't start a trend where whenever Link goes on a new adventure he's accompanied by some vaguely magical chick instead of some new gadget. It's all starting to get a little too Ico/Okami (keep in mind I hate Okami and liked TP.)

Wind Waker was, and from the looks of where Nintendo's going, is the best Zelda game ever.

Also, Link's guide is getting closer and closer to him. In Minish Cap we had his hat as a guide; Wind Waker used the boat as a guide; TP had his shadow and now his own sword.

Clearly, in the next game, Link will have DID, and one of his personalities will be his guide.

I can give you some exclusive info about Nintendo's line-up of titles for E3 in the year 2020 if you want. I'm 99% sure to be right, sadly

Yes. Double yes. I didn't really play WindWaker much at all, but I still loved it. (The Darknut (Awesome Wind Waker one, not the boring Twilight Princess one) has to be my favorite Legend of Zelda enemy, EVER.)

For some reason I think of the croquet "mallets" from Alice in Wonderland.

Maybe Link just picks her up and swings her around like that?
If so, that's a day one purchase for me.

My guess is that you will use the sword normally, but occasionally a whiny bitch emerges from it to get on your nerves aka Navi and Midna combined.
Or even worse, every so often (like with the wolf form) your sword transforms into a hapless maiden that you will have to ESCORT through a dungeon using everything BUT your sword.

I disagree with those who say Wind Waker was the best 3d Zelda.
That title should go to Majora's Mask. Game was rich, man. Skull Kid/Majora's Mask was actually an interesting antagonist, with actual motivation, rather than Gannon "Pure Evil" Dorf.
I guess the temples weren't as many, or as awesome (Well, except for the Stone temple, which is the best I've played), as some of the others in the series, but the rest of the game definitely made up for that. It was so atmospheric.
