Woah- I don't know how the hell they're gonna make that work, but I'm eager to find out.

i liked it except for the stolen music -- trailers should have original music to be truly excellent

doesn't really count since the music in that trailer is a combination of two stolen musics (a chiptune and another song) combined, and at least that combination gives it freshness

I hope this part where he types in text for conversation was a part of the multiplayer, because otherwise this is going to be a mad struggle trying to find just the right question for the answer you want.

My thought precisely. The text adventures were a nightmare for non-native English speakers.

modern text adventure games have parsers advanced enough that the problem with those old ones (search for the right verb) isn't really much of an issue, or at least not as bad of an issue. it used to be constant that you couldn't figure out the right word to use, now it's rare

The train looks cool, and so does a lot of other stuff. But overall it was too long and uninteresting to keep my attention for the full duration.

trailers should have original music to be truly excellent

Really?

i've never heard that come and see music trailer music, but it sounds classical, so maybe it's public domain? the other trailers you linked to seem to be movies, and usually movies get permission to use the music rather than just take it from some random guy without asking

I don't see how permission matters in the quality of the trailer. I really like the Aphex Twin tune, and think it fits very well. I don't think I would've liked it more if I knew they had asked for permission to use it.

And the Come and See trailer uses Requiem by Mozart, but they removed the music from the trailer that was on YouTube because they had used the recording without permission or something like that.

that's true, it doesn't affect the trailer per se, but it does tarnish the 'aura' around it. kinda like how if tim langdell made a great game it'd still be tarnished cause he made it

Sony uses a small selection of songs for every single trailer they put out.  I can't tell you how many times I've heard the same opening track to Beetlejuice in a movie trailer.
