Just bought Tycho - Awake.  Damn, Montana is one smooth track.

album came in the mail the other day. i like the strict minimalism, but im not fully sold on it because im not a fan of the kind of ultra straight four on the floor techno beat that makes up half of it (2 of the 3 tracks, including the one i linked, "branch out" eventually and become a tiny bit more syncopated and funky). still, props for supreme discipline and commitment.

i bought the album with this in a secondhand shop alongside air's talkie walkie; it's weird as hell hearing bjork's voice with a pretty traditional backing instead of the usual electronic treatments and odd production. not sure if i like it!

one of my favorite singers and a good guitar&banjo player to boot. its so cool how she only ever played covers and yet her music sounds so personal.

Listen to this. This guy is fantastic.

It's like acapella extreme, cause it's him making all the sounds. His range is amazing.

Finally got my copy of Ex Hex - Rips.
Love Mary Timony's guitars, and vocals.
Its like Debbie Harry and Johnny Thunders made a record just for me.
12 tracks, and under 35 mins.  No fuss.

Finally got around to listening to the new Flying Lotus album. Great stuff. Going to see him on Saturday, and I'm super pumped.
