Mamman Sani- Taaritt

80s and 90s electronic music from niger. really chill stuff. apparently this guy's work is best known for being used as background music on national TV, but it's nice to listen to in its own right. sounds almost like a west african version of aphex twin's "ambient works 1" to me. sahel sounds is doing a great job making some of this great music internationally known, and also preserving it in some cases. some of the towns the music they publish comes from have been destroyed by terrorists. Sad

Yawning Sons- Ceremony to the Sunset

i saw yawning man live the other day (it was great) and bought this by their side project yawning sons after the show. some songs sound like shoegaze with surfy guitars. really good. gary arce is one of the most overlooked ppl in modern rock music.

I saw some things from you comming by and you have a great taste and pretty similar to alot of things I'm interested in. Thanks for the Mugstar & Damo Suzuki post. Had never heard it and it sounds great. Big fan of Can (going to see Jaki Liebezeit (drummer of Can) tomorrow).  Toast Left Who, Me? Toast Right

Eternal Tapestry- Wild Strawberries

this is one of the best psych albums in recent memory. its 72 minutes long and ranges from laid back "rock"-ish jamming such as

to almost "ambient" murky drone ecosystems.

Had this on repeat for a while.

Arguably one of, if not the, best Drum & Bass remixes ever produced.
