Hey, don't devalue Anal Cunt's contributions to music! "Connor Clapton Committed Suicide Because His Father Sucks" is one of the best "message songs" ever written and "Kyle From Incantation Has A Mustache" is what Beethoven would compose today if he were still alive.

Gas's "Microscopic 600 (paulstretch)", which is a time-stretched rendition of "Microscopic". It turns the original spacey track into droning ambiance.

Gas's and the other ambient musicians in Osmos's bgm helped to make the game so much more enjoyable by creating a spacey, ambient atmosphere.

Wavves is like if 90's Beck fronted a punk band. Fuzzy guitars that segue into 'weird' noise tracks, and deliciously low fidelity make his second self-titled album a treat.

I loved that song. There's a cool acoustic version of it here, its surprisingly good without all the noise too.

I DUNNO WHYYYYYYYYYY, but I love Chrome.

Or actually I do know. They're one of the most fucked-up "rock" bands ever. Every instrument is treated with some kind of nasty electronic effect to make it sound uglier and more abrasive. That the vocals sound like nervous breakdown era Iggy Pop helps too.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Butthole Surfers listened to these guys a whole lot. They even covered two of their songs (including the one I linked to).

i'm digging the chrome, you had me at nervous breakdown-era Iggy.

thanks for the linkage killertoaster, i'm digging that acoustic version.

...speaking of acoustic versions, this solo acoustic version of a Gardenhead/Leave Me Alone is six shades of awesome. regardless on your views on neutral milk hotel, this is a rollicking tune.

Vendetta - Traitor's Fate

More German thrash. Vocalist sounds like Algy Ward (Tank) trying to impersonate Mille Petrozza (Kreator), the guitars really get the neck hurting and the drumming is quite proficient. I'm quite into this track and it pains me to put the album at bottom of my list of recent discoveries that I need to buy because there is plenty of stuff I still need to track down. Maybe I can find a way to bring it close to the top.
