I still get asked why I'm into drone and minimal ambient. They just can't comprehend it. Then they lay some hippy "you have to listen to the notes he's not playing, man" shit on me as an attempt at humour which is just patronising. Stoners aren't the only people who dig it, you don't need drugs for it to transport you somewhere. It's just so refreshing, to come here. This thread is Shangri-La in comparison. EDIT: I think that we shall listen to the concluding track off of Body Music. Hell of a lot clearer then the fifth generation cassette copies that I own of this and The Long String Instrument.

i'm tempted to make a mixtape as well... not sure what spectrum to cover though.
beat happening is an off-kilter indie pop band, they have simple riffs and uh, interesting vocals but i wholeheartedly enjoyed their Jamboree album. are there any other K Records artists that are worth a listen?

Here's the link to my awesome noise/drone mixtape I poured my heart and soul into again: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3725770/01%20lol.mp3Thinking of doing another one soon, but it's hard to decide on a genre/theme.
