Well I love Gates of Delirium, its a great song. I don't like to say X song is the best of a band, but Gates is certainly one of Yes's most bombastic and grandiose efforts. It is one of the few songs in rock that I think really feel like a "musical epic" other than by just its sheer length. It really feels like its telling this great tale about a terrible battle, with a long build up to the great war, loud instrumental crashes, and then the hopeful and sad aftermath of the battle as the closing section. I think its meant to be based on War and Peace? I don't listen to it as often though, it feels like a commitment to start that 22 minute monster, and it gets very intense throughout.

Gates of Delirium is good, but my favorite Yes epic will always be Close to the Edge, if only because it has the strongest, most satisfying ending (whereas other ~20 minute Yes songs tend to fade a bit at the ending). (Plus I prefer the cleaner sound of pre-Topagraphic Oceans Yes to their later, more reverb-heavy sound.)
