Man, I remember those games.  I never got all that into the Pajama Sam games (although I have memories of them, so I'm pretty sure I played them), but I was really into the Spy Fox games.  I played and replayed the first one to see all the variations.

I loved the bonus section in the first one. I totally missed it the first time I played it, so my mind was blown when I figured it out.

How funny, I was just going through all of my old NES and SNES games yesterday. What a nostalgia bomb that was. I didn't find the game I was looking for, though, which is my choice for "most nostalgic."

That game is Final Fantasy 2inUS/4inJapan. When I was a youngin', I'd rent that game every weekend and play it for a good few months. Finally, my mom bought it for me for Christmas and I played through the whole thing. I absolutely love that game.

Does anyone else remember a game called Spooky Castle: The Adventures of Kid Mystic? It was essentially a kids' Diablo clone with really simple 3D sprites. I remember playing the hell out of it as a youngun, and I never even so much as looked at Diablo- or any of Blizzard's 'classic' games, for that matter. Too darkly realistic of an art style, I guess.

I also have very fond memories of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2... for the PC. I can't even play it on a console because the keyboard controls have been so ingrained in my mind- I keep twitching my ring finger whenever I want to do a grab. The soundtrack is also one of my favorites ever, though I didn't even know who all the artists were until someone on TIGSource posted them for me. It was because of Tony Hawk that I got into punk music, particularly the Dead Kennedys, so I gotta thank 'em for that.

Oh man! I remember the demo for that! The controls really were great, and I remember it had some wicked-complicated wall-run/grinding combo tricks.

And although I had listened to a bit of ska-punk beforehand, the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater was what really plunged me into it. (Bought two CDs so far, yay! ...for the record those are the only two music CDs I own)

Yeah. My best friend growing up had that game; we'd hang out and play it all the time. That, then FF6 and Chrono Trigger. I have fond memories of all of them. The original Shining Force, too. Ahhh, memories!

As a kid it was in the only arcade for miles, and I remember going there and playing Tetris with my father of an evening. I was so sad when that place closed...

So, playing Tetris brings back memories of childhood...

And last but not least...

Leisure Suit Larry

(I was specifically told to not play this game by my dad, but my older brother and I eventually surrendered to curiosity. We somehow managed to get Larry stuck on the toilet and we couldn't figure out how to quit the game (Any command we frantically tried ended up with him responding "WHY?"). Too scared to just power down the computer in fear of breaking it, eventually we had to confess to my concerned mother. We had to anxiously wait all day for my dad to come home and see what we had done.) Who, Me?

:D

beware the CGA puce colored pixelly boobs!
