That shall remain a mystery, for now  Grin

I have a suspicion, from the title, protagonist, and environment. Don't want to ruin it for anyone, so I'll keep quiet for now.

What do you make of this tileset so far, TIG?

I kinda like the minimalism of it.

I quite like it and would like to see it in some sort of NES type game in the near future :D

This has a great retro vibe going for it. My only gripe is the light-bluish parts don't really gel with the very heavy NES feel of the rest of the tiles.

Also... mockups!

The current plan is to actually turn these assets into something playable, but my history of finishing projects begs to differ.

Awesome stuff Kevin, I especially like the winter level and that coconut monkey.

Oh lord this is good. Jaggies and ugly lines on the trees (both tropical and winter) but the characters and tiles are just adorable. Strong Kirby's Dreamland/Yume Penguin Monogatari vibe.

Dear gawd I hope you do something with these. Really reminds me of the Wonder Boy series which were some of my favourite Master System games, oh and +1 for playable monkey shenanigans.

Today I've mostly been drawing a grotesque penor statue...

I'm planning on turning it into an exploration game centred around collecting globes to sell for abilities as well as interacting with people, solving riddles, using items in the right places, etc. I'm really torn whether to keep it quite sedate like Seiklus with very few monsters in just a couple of the areas, or go down the Knytt Stories/Untitled Story route of much more action based with quite a lot of beasties around to avoid and hard skill/reaction based antics. I need your wisdom tigs!

There are quite a few phallic objects in that mockup.

Penis house (double penis house?)
Penis statue
Penis door
Penis windows
Penis man

Just letting you know. Public service sort of thing.

Tell me mister serene, do you often wander the indie forums telling devs how all of their game art look like penises? A "double penis house"!? You are one sick puppy...
