try making the crest a bit bolder - remember the water is changing direction so there's going to be a curve at the top as it begins to fall downwards

Nice addition. However, I'm not sure the water would reform that quickly after the rock, after splitting in to two.

The transparent water was overkill. Nice addition. However, I'm not sure the water would reform that quickly after the rock, after splitting in to two.
Working on it.

Less mockups and more screenshots. As always, I feel my characters are too small when I make them fit within a tile. Also that fullmoon background is totally placeholder

Less mockups and more screenshots. But this topic is for mockups! Doesn't change the fact that those do look nice though. I like the character very much.

This is actually my first attempt at pixel art (and my first post on TIGForums!). I really like how it came out so I'm planning to make a little game out of it, probably a little metroidvania Any comments on how I could improve some elements are welcomed!

First attempt? Dude, you're talented. I love the cutesy, yet macabre feel of it. Keep it lo-fi, it seems to work really well. Got a programmer? :p

Thanks! Much appreciated :] Actually, like I said in my intro post: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=45.msg557547#msg557547, I'm trying to get it done 100% by myself Thanks for the offer though

You should make the background elements pop more! The sewage pipes and pillars could add more, I think, to the overall stage if they contrasted more with the background. Perhaps with a darkened shade of blue? It's a really sweet mockup, and I'd love to play that game. Your character looks great!

Thanks for the comment. Actually, I thought reducing the background's contrast would help the "important" elements pop more, but I'll definitely give it a try anyway You'll do great. What platform you aiming for? Hope you make it cross-platform...
I'm currently using Flixel. It's relatively easy for a rusty dev haha
