Theo your mockup is super tiny for me when I click to view the animated version... am I doing something wrong?

Ooh, those look lovely! Especially the second, for some reason. Chevy's awesome mock-up inspired me to make my own RPG Flash concept. Click on the image to see the animated version, and on the lower-right is a hyperlink to see the full=size version. For some reason, I imagine the over-world to this being like those old arcade-racers, except in a free-roaming post-apocalyptic setting. Please make your RPG happen.

I absolutely LOVE this! I wish you the best of luck with making it happen! Here is another mock-up I just made, of an ice castle/dungeon: I think I might have to clean up the ice floor, as it feels a little disturbing at the moment. Thoughts?

Thank you! I'm actually in a Flash coding class this semester and am gonna work through the Flashpunk tutorials as best as I can. I'll probably still want a programmer for that project, though, I'm an artist first and a coder fifth.

Might I suggest increasing the size of the pixels by at least 200%? I may be getting old but I find it hard to look at the objects when they are that small. Unless your making the game for the original gameboy theres no reason why you should limit yourself to such a small canvas.

Try removing one of the brighter colours from the ice tile's palette, effectively decreasing the contrast and making it simpler. Should draw attention away from it.

@InkBlotBunny I'm pretty sure they would've been even bigger on the original Gameboy, but yes; I would love to increase the size,...I just...don't know how Edit: Well, I realize I could just increase the actual size of the picture, but isn't there any way to just post it double-sized? And thank you, Ashkin. I'll try that

Here I tried removing the higlights, and in the bottom mock I aslo removed the darker shades. I think I prefer the bottom, cleaner version. Also, ...It's still pretty small. I din't manage to resize it without distorting it.

I like the smaller size, everything is more crisp.
