I've been away for quite some time. Here is a something: I'm not toally clear about the whole 'NES restrictions' thing, but this loosely follows them I think. This might be an exploration/action/platformer hybrid because metroid hasn't been exploited enough by the indie community. Kinnas, if you won't let me have your babies, please at least promise me that you'll get someone pregnant. Some of your awesome needs passing on to future generations. Wow! I love it! I'm totally saving this mock up as an inspirational reference pic!

This is extemely great also. Very very good. You really define the shapes and volumes awsomely well with those simple lines, you can almost feel how that stance feels. Also great art style. And the giant badger/hog thingie... I'm almost crying over here Will be though to get it movin' though:/

My goodness, gentlemen. Many thanks. Here are some more: The second one is heavily inspired by Batman for the NES. Very heavily. I'm reworking the tiles on the first one. Also, those bird-things have one colour too many. Wintery scene is next. Mockups are fun! Jim: Dangerous Dave Remake looks fantastic.

hot dicks those are nice, Kevin. Not a fan of the dithering on the grass on the first one tho, and maybe the water could use a wee bit more detail? and distant sand in the second?

I've noticed a lot of people online letting us know when they've 'virtually ejaculated' recently. I find that a bit ... odd. Is it just me?

I appreciate virtual body fluids, as long as they're well intentioned. It's all about the thought, people.

I find something kind of sad about Mockups. They're like pieces of song lyric - things that will never be complete.
Not that they're not cool, but...

Mockup for a game about NIHILISM. The kind that had teenagers throw dynamite at the Czars carriage. And some even succeeded. Lenins big bro was a nihilist! I have some vague ideas for this. At first I figured it would control like a platformer but from the mockup it looks that maybe point & click would work better. There should be some heavy introspection going on and I want to differentiate the real from thoughts. The collage style from photos would represent the reality of life and the painted parts would be the psychological, these two would blend and mix as thoughts are thought and sanity slips. The main character is always painted for there is no way to escape the constraints of the self as idealists would have it (maybe only when looking in the mirror). Oh the irony that our brave nihilist would be a Marxist and believe in finding absolute truths through dialectics! In search of this objective truth of himself he only deludes himself deeper and deeper into the realm of the mind, further away from the materialist categories he would hold so dear! He also drinks alot. There may or may not be a minigame about throwing dynamite under the Czars carriage. Yey! On the controls, I would find it fun if you could drag and crop moderately each limb and such. Like, in order to pick up an item, you drag his hand to said item.
