Delicious, I remember this mockup from few pages back. I really like your characters. They have so much ... uhm .. character to them, especially the red noses. And the background ... I'd kill for it Your health-bar / heart system makes a little sense, though. I gather when you lose health, the hearts start to disappear but why draw them empty near the end. Does the last health-point (the one that's nearly empty) have less value to it than the first (which is full)? Also, why the dark background for the speech bubble. It's kind of lost in the background. Maybe something like this instead? Oh, and please say this is going to be a game

Woah, thanks guys. I was contacted a couple times to make a game from this, but I don't think I'll pursue it until I finish a lot more assets. So, perhaps there will be! (I don't have a lot of time atm, so I'd like to just screw around until I find that I have enough work to make a decent game) Delicious, I remember this mockup from few pages back. Oh, and please say this is going to be a game Oh, my health bar is just the assets thrown together - That's definitely not how it'll work if I ever did make this. Instead, it'll be one heart gradually loose red rather three at a time. I only put it there because it shows all the stages. I'm still working with the speech bubbles, but I'm quite attracted to the darker background on white text. For me, it helps it stick out because the background will often be light. I will look for more ways to approach it, and I appreciate the edit! Thanks!

Those tiles look like the result of Photoshop filters for some strange reason.

I agree. May be because of the large blurred shadow, and the bevel. These filters are so over-used (with these default params) that I can't stand they anymore Anyway, it's still good for quicks mockups !

Rough concept sketch I finished earlier today for the run-and-gun I'm semi-working on. So, kind of a mock-up, I suppose. (Sorry if this is in the wrong thread)

Try it in vectors! Being pixellated is only hurting that image.

Haha, we'll see. I kind of like how it turned out pixel-wise, sort of like a really lo-res 3D render (which is what I was shooting for, sorta).
