Mockup for an area in Elizabeth Shoots Ghosts.
I really want to like this, and I do like the texture on the ground (the fallen leaves especially) and some of the specific props like the mushrooms and whatnot, but the separation between the grass and the rock walls basically isn't there, they don't read as different angles unless I force them to based on the way I know it's supposed to work, at least on this monitor...

 Tetris, except the pieces are made of jello. Also they go into a juice meter on the side when you clear them, and you uh... blend them into juice based on their colors? I don't know, jello.

I can see what you mean. Maybe the values are too similar or something, needs some darker shadow at the base of the cliff. The different angles of cliff also need more distinction. Hard to say how long it's taken, I've been chipping away at graphics for the game off and on for about a year. Most of the progress has been in the last few months though. I just do bits and bobs in the evenings and weekends.
