Thought I'd post an update to this. I made her hair overlap her forehead as suggested by a couple of people, and made her generally bigger (bigger than 16x16 now) which I think is more inkeeping with the other sprites. Thanks for the comments on it, very much helped to improve it (and to motivate me to improve it).





Removed the guy for now because I don't have a new sprite for him, and I never liked the old one anyway.

Yes, much more readable now. The first version looked like a man with muscular arms.

Maybe it could use some background tiles?
It reminds me of commander keen games, without the background tiles. i think it works. (the window definitely helps)

I meant for it to be the shadow of her nose, but upon closer inspection it does look like a Hitler-stache.

Is this better? I feel like the nose has less definition now but I don't feel like adding more colors.

I like this version, I don't think for a sprite of relatively realistic proportions, subtle nose shading is best, otherwise the nose looks enourmous. The rest of the sprite is lovely too, liking the pose.
