those inner white outlines on that ladder makes me sad, the concept looks interesting. Floating isles and forests are always fun

Thanks! One can see i threw that stuff in photoshop 15 minutes before sleep. :}

I have to make some less "vlambeer" kind of character design for them still...

Hope that turns out to be a game of some sort one day...

Yeah, have another mockup for a test level here. In this test scene, you'd use the lantern beam function to drive away the dark mass in the centre, then reflect the light using the mirror(attached to the steel door on the right) onto the photovoltaic cell to lift the door. It's a very simple, pared-down version of what we'll be making, but it gives you the idea. Think reflections, beams, coloured light, shadows, etc. And that's just the beginning. Shit gets weird.

A cheerful island generator to test out Haxe

Doesn't work properly under HTML5 for some reason; however neko, native, and flash are working fine.
Feels both good and terrible coming back after flixel after years and years, haha.

Still, the language has quite a lot of pluses. Feels like somewhere in between JS (closures, inference makes it look like dynamic typing) and AS (declaration syntax mainly) with some Java (interfaces, reflection, needing to cast too much sometimes) and C++ (macros, inlining) thrown in, which makes sense given the languages background and purpose.

Would like to see Significantly less Std.int spam - might end up making use of a using mixin to allow quicker casts. Would seriously prefer implicit conversion. Probably me doing things in a non-idiomatic way Smiley
