Trying to fold an interesting theme into how player objectives and goalposts are provided.  Not sure if my partner on this project is down with the idea but sometimes you gotta make the pitch anyway!

Please make the user interface smaller than the game.
It has to be like this because it makes it look like a calculator.

font nor UI is done but the level is! this is the first map you'll see in Arcadian Atlas ( arcadianatlas.com )

Sorry for the massive gif, if it's killing somebody's computer I can replace it with a link.

Just wanted to show how the characters will be able to interact with the objects on the map (everything on maps will be grid based like FFT, so you'll never actually freely walk around in this same manner)

What's with the jitter in the environment?

it's something i'm still trying to figure out -- it's either my graphics card or it's the engine i'm using, but either way when you are actually in battle using the grid-based movement system the jitter doesn't occur so it shouldn't be an issue.

Floating point rounding problems? Do you use consistent functions while mapping world positions to screen positions (always floor/ceil/round etc.)

Thanks for the suggestions! The thing is I am actually making this...  *cough* in RPGMaker.... *cough* & the Layy Meta Engine is what I'm using to convert the 2D map into a 3D one so I don't have much knowledge of what is going on behind the curtain. I'm going to play around with it some more and ultimately may need to add a programmer to the team with more experience on this stuff.

pgmaker is legit, no need to cough, it could have been worse, you could have used Unity5 Shocked

I officially bought XP and VX (I prefer 2003) to make story prototype in them

Soft that does what they are advertised to do but get bad rep by status hungry when too many shovel ware are made with them or kids, aka they correlate the crap to the software

Dang good job, I'd definitely post your issue over on their forums to see if anyone else has fixed that recently!  Smiley

@Unity
