 some mockup for fun 's nice dude but one thing really bugs me about yer pixels and that's: the selout. It does not help. In fact it unhelps. That black pixel on back of the chick's head? Just make it red, plx. And those two on top of her head by her hairtenna. also the four black dots in the corner of the meter below health(?) You do that a lot,even with colors 'subtler' than black, and it only makes things look super jaggy. It's like you're trying to aa to a black backdrop, but the backdrop is never black.  the grass matters less than the characters, and some drk grn would probly be warranted, but it still bugged me a little, in those tiny single pixel flecks that described nothing. Anyway. That's all.

@Karuvitomsk: You and two others perhaps. Selout is rarely seen as pretty, especially single-pixel selout. I'm in full agreement with Xion. I love Kag. I just played it. It totally needs this.

Yeah. Totally understood where you were coming from xion, was tracking with you during your entire post. but now I'm seeing the harsh black in a whole new light. It's kinda edgy and ... Stuff. I dunno.

I personally like the edit. The only only thing I don't think is unnecessary is the edit for the leaf. Anyhow, this is what I've been struggling with.

@squidkid Looks pretty cool. Only thing bugging me is how the wallpaper patter on the side walls is facing dead on and doesn't fit the angle of the actual wall. It kinda freaks my brain out when I look at it the same way characters wearing plaid in old looney toons does.

Now that you mention it, nothing really matches the angle of the side walls. I'd just take that out in general, then it would look Zelda-ish. The bed doesn't follow the wall on the left side of the room and neither does the rest of the furniture. I'd suggest taking out the slanted walls and just going with the Zelda style.
