Stanley - I don't want to carry a handheld with me to work.. and the games are 3D and boring and expensive and take forever to start up. ANYWAY.. yep, we've gone off on a tangent.. All good points, I have thought a lot about this.. I'll keep on keeping on, but don't think I'm ignoring your thoughts.. now someone post a delicious new mock-up, stat!

Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while, and posting a bit of art here and there. Just wanted to join in with the fun here. This image is from a proof-of-concept thing, kind of like an animated concept called "After the Robots". Cheers, Greenlig Cruelly paged! This is a really excellent image that I really hope turns into a game.

whats with the lack of love for famicom detective EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD I know this is from a while back... but Man, you REALLY need to make a game that looks like this. Reminds me of Detective Club. That game was amazing.

That's really cool, geepit, but I think you should change the lava- it looks like melted cheese right now. Try adding some darker, red hues to the mix.

Has Smithy made any games or other interesting works? I only know him from some of his finer posts, and I'd love to play/read anything he made :D

I don't think he's made anything big, despite all of us urging him to write a book or something.

Hello. I'm proud to present you my upcoming game. Behind Nowhere.A next gen pixel art cinematic plateformer. In the tradition of Another World, Flashback, Heart of Darkness, Oddworld & Limbo. Aiming for fundings on kickstarter and porting the game to all major platforms••••••••••••••••••••••• Some actual WIP of the levels. Yes, this is going to be a game. Click on pictures for full res. I do everything by myself, from painting to animating to coding to sound design. If some interested coders have some spare time to advice me sometimes, as I don't get real experience and I'm just trying to make it work with my own engine from scratch, please let me know ! If you want to see the actual build with parallax (roughly 10 days of work, just a test level) : http://www.timsoret.com/behindnowhere/index.htmlJust jump to move, it's the only animation I already made for now. Let me know about your feelings !
