Sonic Unleashed I found to be very punishing, not only does it seem too fast, but I despise having to learn a level by trial and error, because you die if you go left when you should have gone right (this alone probably wouldn't have bothered me, but you also have limited lives to complete a stage in).

I was really excited about Xenosaga, having been a rabid Xenogears fan.  But it seems like the games designer managed to leave all the fun gameplay aspects behind when he left square.  I can't tolerate the combat system at all.  Any system that requires you to level up an ability by doing it over and over again, punishing you to seeing the same animations over and over again loses marks in my book.

This level in Bonesaw is like something I would expect to find in IWBTG. It basically makes you do the same thing over and over again until you get it just right, and if you're not quite good enough, you die. I understand why wall jumping was so terrible in IWBTG. I don't understand why the horizontal springs in Bonesaw are worse. At least with the bouncing ball earlier in the level I keep trying without risking death every time.

On a related note, the time from getting a game over to starting the level again is really long.

Is there any reason at all to finish the game? Because if there isn't then maybe I'll be smart enough to just stop now while I still have my sanity.
