open question here is anyone from LA wanting to go to the TigJam? We might rent a car (or carpool if you have one) and drive to phoenix from there and maybe do some camping along the way (from the 5th to the 8th/9th). It'd be fun. BYOP, of course... Also... does anyone have any recommendations on fun places to camp (or other cool stuff to do) along the drive from LA to Phoenix? From the looks of it, it seems it's mostly just desert and parks which would be fun, but maybe there's other places of note that we shouldn't miss. The drive is only 6 hours or so but we'd be bumbling along with our rosenante over the span of a few days so detours are encouraged.

Well, I'm in LA and thinking of going to TJ2, but I dunno that I'm so much into the camping...

I may go and I live in LA... I probably can't because I'd have to skip a day of school... and my parents would not approve...

What kind of policies are there on dropping in and meeting some people, and possibly participating, without registering for food, after-jam dinner, etc.? For example, what if I'm in the area but I may not be able to attend the whole thing and so on?
