Man. I'm having a really hard time thinking up an obstacle sprite in context with my others.

And is it necessary for projectile sprites to be exactly 8x8 or less? Some of mine are a little bigger, the biggest like 12x12. I'll scale them down though if I really have to but it was hard getting them to fit and look like I wanted them to.

I guess I can include two versions and let the programmer decide.
Yeah, it would be best to include both versions.  I know that people using gamemaker can just switch out the sprites with a sprite of a different size and collision will still work fine, but I don't know if there are any issues with other languages or tools.

I'll make sure to account for dynamic sprite sizes in my code, so no worries there!

Ah, ok. Well either way, I'm just about done at this point. Time to make final additions and then I'm done and don't have to worry about it till whenever  Smiley

Good luck to everyone with their work.  GentlemanHand Thumbs Up Left

Hey, should the music guy take care of sounds? I mean, we could use SFXR but someone will have to do it.

I think that a good way of working would be like this
codedude delivers code + placeholders -> graphicdude delivers -> musicdude delivers fx/music -> codedude integrates/polishes code -> graphicdude polishes details -> musicdude polishes details.

OK: I've finished the game. I'm eager to see my multimedia companions' work Smiley

Programmers should go ahead and use SFXR to make sound effects.

I thought I'm done. Then I revisited this topic and there's 640x480 background and an obstacle sprite added. Lips Sealed
It's okay with me, no worries. The next edition, *cough*for it will happen I think*cough*, should be more structured though. I try to limit the amount of time I spend on these fora :D

The thing about experiments is to try and see what happens. After some feedback the things changed a tiny bit. There's no lack of structure in that.

At any rate, I think this experiment should be about sharing, not an obligation, either if you spend more or less time on this forum.

Good luck

Sign me up for a song- it's pretty crappy, but I saw the music section to be a tad lacking.

I have the game engine working more or less!  Unfortunately, the level layouts are kinda too complex to do by hand.  I have to make a level editor if I want any content, but I don't think I can get it done in the given timeframe.

I'm gonna be super-late to the party it seems.  I'll keep at it!

I urge you to PM when I have to submit my music. I visit this forums regularly but I don't visit this topic that much often.

We've closed signups for the current experiment, but if we do this again, make sure to sign up for that.

Will do.  Also, that would be this Sunday.

Try to at least have something playable by Sunday (or a few days later).
