My head just exploded and confetti sprayed out. This is a happy time for all. Perhaps we might even see Quote in this as DLC and Lemeza as DLC in Cave Story Wii, since the developers are both pretty much friends with one another! /tinfoilhat EDIT It gets even better, check the Cave Story Website! http://nicalis.com/blog/

Wait, La-Mulana is made by the same people as Rose & Camilla? A "bare hands" weapon for Lemeza, used for slapping with the sounds from R&C, now that would be something..

Apparently, Nicalis is developing both titles, and the game will be 16-bit. Probably the MSX cartridges will be replaced with SNES games.

Reading this made me want to replay the game, so I loaded it up, and *gasp* the chip tune music isn't working! I can barely bring myself to play it like this, because the music is about 50% of the game, and I really dislike the other channel (which works, by the way). The only thing that's changed with my computer in the meantime is probably a service pack update. CURSE YOU VISTA. I don't know what to do with myself. I've been pumped about playing all damn day at work. Does anybody know a solution or have an explanation? I'm running it under XP compatibility, and no dice.

You could give turning down the hardware acceleration of the sound a try, if it also works like that on Vista. With my X-Fi sound card on XP, the music in Cave Story was messed up, and changing the acceleration to "basic" or so fixed it

This is one of the rare instances where I kinda' hope they make it a bit more accessable as the original is one of the most hostile games I've played.
