They seem golem-like to me... Living men made of clay. Is there an equivalent to that in Japanese mythology?

I'm making a text-based escape the room game. The twist is that the door is open... but you are strapped to a chair... and you have no legs. You have to escape without moving from your chair.

I'm pretty happy with the name 'Ajar' but I'd like to know what you guys think.

None of the guys have names. I have been going through tons of different mythologies from Japanese to Viking.

There's the army of stone, but that's Chinese mythology. (I vote use it anyways.)

I suggest "Thump-Thump". All I could think of. You're right - Golems rarely have specific names. Other than "Golem". But that's a little common.

Also, Blazier, that game sounds rather intriguing. Ajar's a good 'un.

i was thinking army of mud, since the enemies are made of mud, but the thump-thump sounds awesome.

Hey, I made this game called Saut. (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=9163.0)

You might have noticed the name kinda sucks and I might change it if I find something good. It means Jump in french, but I'm not sure how people manage to pronounce it in english. I'm planning an iphone version called iJump! But I need a really good name for the next pc games/versions. It's a jazzy one button platformer. The keywords are jumping and sliding, but Jump n Slide sounds a bit generic.

Saut is a really good name. I find names in other languages usually work...

Yes, I perfer Saut too.

Also, I played this game last week and found it a bit frustrating. There should be more visible to your right so you can plan your jumps better. The way it is I often found myself needing to commit suicide because it was impossible to make the jump without moving back a little.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the name. I kinda like it, but it got bad reactions from some french people so I had to hear what you guys think when I found this topic.

Carefree Games: I know the game can be a bit frustrating. The impossible jumps mean you made a mistake before and it's part of the game, you have to learn how to use the small jumps and slides to reach the edge of a gap. I will fix the camera and difficulty curve in the next one though, thx for your imput.

My current game-in-progress is called 'And Also With You'.

Thoughts? Too indie? Not indie enough? Should I add some random punctuation and miscapitalization?  Crazy

BlinkI hope someone gets the reference, even if it has nothing to do with my game.

Also, Kapser, may I suggest calling it 'Sauter' - the infinitive form? Because 'Saut' is a very specific verb form... even 'Saute' would make a bit more sense.

Holy arseface, batman!
I hadn't even thought of that!

That brings the total references of the name up to 3. Two more and I will officially qualify as indie-cutting-edge! (Term 'edge' used under copyright from EDGE MEDIA BLAHDIBLAHDIBLOO)
