I am thinking of replacing it with "Vault of Darkness: Minotaur Quest" - sounds a bit less generic and is more descriptive of what the game is actually about.
Thoughts?
Why not just name it "Vault of Darkness"? It sounds pretty good without the superfluous "quest" in it. Personally, I named my game "Minion's Quest" because I wanted it to have a cliche name. It also instantly shows the player that it's an RPG subversion. Then there's my other game (series?), "Steel Wings". I went through a lot of titles and thought that something simple sounded better. Of course, there's the irony that airships don't really have wings that are that big. On the other hand, it makes perfect sense considering what I'm planning. The name might come across as too WWII-dogfighty, though.

I think "Cardinal" is a very nice, fancy word. You're right in that "Quest" was pretty cliche; but so is your current title!
Cliche is good! I want people to get an idea about what the game is about, that's why I'm looking for names that sound like old d&d modules or corny fantasy.

It depends. If you want to do a "Vault of Darkness" series, then that name is great. But if not...well, just call it "Vault of Darkness".

No Mercy is what I want to name it, but it's so generic.
The game is about breaking into spaceships, killing everything inside, and commandeering the ship for profit.

My Life as A Space Dictator? Other one was Deep Space Massacre, though it sounds pretty gory.

Hrm, Pre-Owned, Light Year Privateer, and My Life as a Space Dictator are all so good! You made it even harder to pick a name than it was before...

Hello this is Pencerkoff 90 Seconds (the length of time you can survive in vacuum)
I'm fairly sure that number is more like 90 microseconds, but still a good idea. Pre-Owned is great... though all I see is Pwned after awhile. That may not be a bonus. "Repo-Spacemen" is my humble suggestion. Also anything involving "Pirate". -PENCERKOFF

I'm fairly sure that number is more like 90 microseconds, but still a good idea. Hello Pencerkoff! It is (interestingly enough) more in the realm of 90 seconds, at least according to NASA in 1997: http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astro/answers/970603.html..exposure to vacuum causes no immediate injury. You do not explode. Your blood does not boil. You do not freeze. You do not instantly lose consciousness.
Various minor problems (sunburn, possibly "the bends", certainly some [mild, reversible, painless] swelling of skin and underlying tissue) start after ten seconds or so. At some point you lose consciousness from lack of oxygen. Injuries accumulate. After perhaps one or two minutes, you're dying. The limits are not really known. You shouldn't try to hold your breath, though, if you want to avoid damaging your lungs.

Hello Name Doctors! I find this thread very interesting to read. My team is working on an iOS game called "iCountSheep", here's some early gameplay footage: http://vimeo.com/21500022Some of my friends think "iWhatever" is terrible cliche. And also I recently found "iCountSheep" is taken already in appstore. So it seems like I need a new name for the game. I would like to keep "sheep" in it because we made a lot of sprites out of them. The main idea of the game is to tap fast and correctly. We are working on implementing combos and powerups to make it more exciting and arcade like. You will get scores for tagging more sheep as well as tagging stylish. We would like to have as many people as possible to enjoy the game, so it better look attractive for non-gamers as well. What would be a good name for this sheep-tagging little game? Thanks in advance
