"Full Upright Position"
"A Flight Attendant's Worst Nightmare"
"REMAIN CALM"
"How to Resolve Your In-Flight Catastrophe"

"Remain Calm" is pretty good! Hmm!

Now that I think about it, that sounds rather good to me, but there's a flash game already named that (found when I googled "The Lab Game").

Is that still alright?

I just googled it and found the game you're talking about. 2 people liked it and 2 people 'ignored' it according that website. I think you're safe still using 'The Lab' haha.

I've got this game I'm about to put into the works, and have kind of a rough idea for parts of a name, but my brother and I are having trouble nailing down something that we actually like.

The game is going to be a 10-16x platformer with visuals centering around small characters and simple-ish factory environments. Almost kind of a 2d MetalGear-meets-Contra-and-Mario's-love-child sort of game.

The name guidelines we've come up with are basically as follows:

"____-Micro"

"Micro-____"

"Micro____"

Any help would be greatly appreciated, don't be afraid to step totally outside those guidelines as well, if it sounds good. Because they're just guidelines, and shouldn't be taken Uber-Serious.

still haven't thought of a name for this game, and it's nearly finished. haha.

I've narrowed it down to _______ Express Pro Wrestling. I'm thinking of maybe using some kind of noun, a word that doesn't mean anything, a random Japanese word, or the name of a place.

some possibilities:

Sake Express Pro Wrestling

Kozuka Express Pro Wrestling

any ideas?

I would take a key aspect of the game's aesthetic and use that.

Micro-noir or something similar. the Thesaurus is always friendly.

"Trampoline Gunmen III - Lucky Strike"

What do you guys think? It channels SFIII: Third Strike, while at the same time I can have a tagline that says: "every copy comes with a free pack of luckies!"

You know, just to rile/excite some people who enjoy a bit of a smoke.  Cool

The game is about 50% done. It's a PvP game (1p or 2p) with a SF kind of vibe, except on trampolines, with guns. Tramp Gun was my alternative. Except that might imply tramps with guns. To confuse matters, the game does actually contain a real tramp, with a gun. It also has a goat.

The story takes place in a modern fantasy world. The main heroine (named Rae Runset), a child prodigy born to an obscenely rich family, is also the only person that has absolutely zero magical potential in the world. Armed with (almost mad) science, wealth and her parent's support (and basement), she seeks to change that.

How about "The Anti-Witch"? ("Unwitch"?)

Or, "Sufficiently Advanced Technology" (as a reference to Arthur C. Clarke's Third Law that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic")

The names you came up with do not imply anything "fantasy" about the game, which is obviously is.

still haven't thought of a name for this game, and it's nearly finished. haha.

I'm thinking "Panda Suplex"!

The pink explosions look like Cherry Blossoms, and in Japanese Cherry Blossom is Sakura (as in Sakura Taisen).

Sakura Express Pro Wrestling

Sakura Suplex

Sakura Express Puro Resu (it's how it would be written in Katana)

In Japanese:
Sakura Puro Resu: 桜プロレス

I have no clue if I mentioned it here or not, but I'm trying to think of a better name than "Udducted." The point is still taking cows for the beef shortage in the galaxy. Even "The Beef Theif" sounds like a Super Udducted-ish thing.

It would be Puro Resulin. You forgot two whole characters. The 'Li' and the 'n'.

It would be Puro Resulin. You forgot two whole characters. The 'Li' and the 'n'.

Not really, in Japanese it's common to contract two words and chop the end off. Classic example: Pokemon = Pocket Monster. The "suta" bit at the end is left off. Also, Famicom = Family Computer, the "puta" bit is left off.

Plus, there is no "li" sound in Japanese. They have trouble pronouncing it. I believe it's Chinese that has a "li" sound. Japanese use Ra, Ri, Ru, Re and Ro. Smiley

Also, not that I trust Wikipedia with anything, but Puro Resu is an accepted contraction... Having said that, Puro Resuringu would still be recognised (プロ レスリング)

Since this is the internet and tone of voice is lost, I'm not trying to sound stand-offish with this post! Just a gentlemanly correction.  Gentleman
