"Detective Hobo"...i like the theme but that's a bad choice of words. I prefer "Nomad", like @rek said.

Hmm...Well I like The Hobo Detective because it sounded goofy...Maybe The Detective Bum?  Actually Bum Detective Sounds awesome...  I kind of like The Gypsy Detective but that emplies that the character would actually be a full blown gypsy...  Hmm...Seems like I'll need to further develop this character no matter what I do...
Roaming Detective?
Rambling Investigator?

'Bum' can mean lazy, idle, a loafer, incompetent...

Yes, Bum does mean that.  But would that be a bad choice of words?

Let's be honest...I don't necessary want the best name, just the one that makes people take a look at the game.
I'm thinking of just going for a simple name because this is all getting really complicated Cry

How would just Clueless(series title) and full titleClueless: Curse Of The Swamp Monster be?  Or should I probably just stick with some of these awkward 'Homeless Man who just so happens to earn money solving mysteries' names?

Yeah I think I'm gonna go with that.  Either that or 'Clueless Detective'  Even though'The Hobo Detective' may emply something dirtier than this Dick Tracy parody of a character, I think it's a good attention getter  Beer! Cheers!   Noir

"Clueless Detective" sounds a bit boring in my opinion. Just a normal contradiction, not painting any interesting picture.

The Minimal Adventure?

I was thinking something a little more one-wordy, even if it's two words put into one. I keep thinking in terms of ______.swf, such as Nethack would be nethack.swf.

I was also considering emphasizing the three zone system, TriQuest? TriExplore?

Or I could use the name of the final area: PentPlain.

:/

Well guys I think I got my issue resolved.  I've talked with some other guys and we've all decided on the name Vagabond P.I.: The Swamp Monster Chronicles  Thanks for all the help though!  Glad I could get something figured out.
