I guess I lied. This Demo was exclusive to NeoGAF, but not fair to leave TIG out: http://host-a.net/ultim8p00/Katakijin%20Demo%20v3.0.zipIf you play this demo, I just need you to answer a few questions please: How did this run on your PC? If it ran slowly, could you post your specs? What do you think of the dialog between characters? If this hit XBLA how much would you want to pay for it, or would you buy it at all? What do you think of the overall presentation? And that's it. I'd really like to know how this performs on your machine, along with what you think about the dialog. Anyways, here's a comparison: OLD NEW I added a day/night filter to give the game a better sense of time and atmosphere

Thanks for sharing your work! The game ran smoothly (Intel Core Duo @ 2.2GHz with 4GB ram). The game is way too hard for me as I didn't manage to get to through the first level (I get beat up by a bunch of ninjas after the "they will pay dearly" dialog). All in all very good. I'm not a platformer fan but the presentation and the fact we're talking ninjas here has got me considering it

It looked awesome and ran smoothly on my machine (Intel Core2Duo E8400 @ 3.0Ghz, 3Gb of RAM). I liked this before and now I like it even more. Feels more forgiving than before, expect I got raped by ONE GODDAMN GREEN-TINTED NINJA, he was more awesome than me! Dialog was fine by me, I dunno 'bout others. I wouldn't buy this from XBLA. Reason? I don't own Xbox 360. "So far so good"

The shape around the life meter seems rather random :O
I remember playing this and wondering "More different enemies, more enemies at same time, more interesting arenas to fight in". The game itself is very solid, and I like the change in the graphics from cold to warm.

i remember this game, good to know it's still around, very hard but it felt fair enough. I dig the new graphics, and yes, the hud thing seems quite weak

hm, pretty awesome so far. i just rage quit because of room transition wall jumping+running issue (falling down constantly, for like 20 times at least), but apart from that pretty solid. ran just fine on 2.2 ghz laptop athlon, 1250 ati radeon, 1 gb ram, win xp.

This is a really impressive game. If it would have any (I assume it doesn't?) I would say the production value is through the roof . But I'm not good enough to make my way through the demo. I would really have to play with a controller to complete it, there's just too many buttons for a keyboard. Well, atleast for me:). Just one question, are you in any way interested in getting this on XBLA? Because I really don't think they support GM games . Anyways, keep it up it's really good either way!

it's GM that doesn't support xbox, not the other way, also no one said nothing about XBLA in this thread

He mentioned it in the original post. That's why I brought it up. it's GM that doesn't support xbox, not the other way, also no one said nothing about XBLA in this thread
Okay, I can't claim that I'm very tech-savvy:). But I guess that makes sense .

oh wow °_° i'm blind, i saw the post two times just skipping that part... no good.. Maybe he plans to recode it using XNA edit: finally i got a non damaged version, dowloading it from the last mirror! edit2: found a bug, after a dialog there's an invisible wall stopping me to go further. You can also wallrun on that invisible thing oh, congrats for the music! is great!

You can also wallrun on that invisible thing oh, congrats for the music! is great! The invisible wall appear before a cutscene to prevent you from skipping it accidentally. The invisible wall is supposed to get destroyed after the music picks up. Are you able to hear the music fade back in after the cutscenes? Make sure you are playing from a folder and not from the zip file. To the people getting beat, try not to stand around and block too much. Keep moving. Here is a walkthrough that shows you how to play: http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/katakijin-level-1-walkthrough/325957As for the music you should congratulate Chris Gehan and his buddy Dan! They are the makers of the Iji soundtrack and they are behind the music in this as well. Really cool guys. I believe they are also make a soundtrack for Indie Brawl.
