First of all, this looks very cool! I love the atmospheric effects for changes between day and night. Criticisms: --The random force fields are pretty jarring. Maybe you could make them look more like ninja magic and less like sci-fi? --I laughed at the opening cut scene--it looks like a bird is annoying the ninja, so he punches it and it flies away. --Regarding the dialog: I don't see why the ninja is so incredulous that his village was destroyed by dozens and dozens of other ninjas. Unless his village is composed of even more--and better--ninjas? A little more background in the very beginning of the game explaining this would go a long way.

I think the game could use a bit more save points. Eventually player will get skilled enough to beat the level in one go but it's quite annoying to repeat the easy kills for the n-th time just to get killed in the main battle. I guess I'm talking about pacing the player here. More save points in level 1 and less in level 10. The dialogs are nice, the first and second time. After that it gets annoying that you can't skip them. I hated talking to the end boss 3 times . Sure Z will make the dialog go faster but a skip all button would be nice. Blocking should be emphasized in the tutorial. Until I saw the video I couldn't make it pass the main fight. In essence you should finish your every move in the fight with a block and a quick roll. I'm still unable to figure out how to use the magic technique you gather during the mission. The key combination could be explained when the technique is acquired. After playing through it a few more times I must say I'm impressed. Playing the game gives you the feeling of acquiring skill at combat so the game becomes less and less button mashing and more timing and combinations. Good job!

Yes. Awesome. I have looked forward to this day since the time I was born, Ultim8. Ran good on my shitty laptop. No lag, I think. Dialog is okay, but the skip button needs to work faster, like hitting it once reveals the whole page, twice goes to the next. Either that or a skip all button, like what'shisface said, because that boss is brutal and I hate rereading that conversation. There's also a few issues with the main character stating the obvious, like "Dead bodies. Who coulda done dis?" you could just have him look around and be like "who coulda done dis?" Gist of it is, needs a skip button and you could cut out some stuff to make it more interesting. I'd buy it on XBLA, deffo. 10-15 bucks would be fair, in my opinion, assuming the games gonna be as big as I think it will. Presentation is great one thing I think could be better is, in the boss fight with Mudama, you could have street lamps or torches or something to illuminate the fight, since the night-time thing actually does make it kinda hard to see what he's doing. Speaking of Mudama, did you make him harder or did I just start sucking at the game? Can't get him lower than half his health anymore Anyway, keep on trucking, Ultim8, I love this game muchly and it's been fun watching the progress through these demos And always remember,

As a trade off, he takes more damage now. The game is supposed to be very difficult, and you are supposed to die over and over until you learn how to fight. That's why there are few savespots. It's all intentional. If you've played Ninja Gaiden Black, you'll have an idea of just how difficult the game is supposed to be.

The invisible wall appear before a cutscene to prevent you from skipping it accidentally. The invisible wall is supposed to get destroyed after the music picks up. Are you able to hear the music fade back in after the cutscenes? Make sure you are playing from a folder and not from the zip file.
It happened only one time, and i wasn't playing from a zip, restarting the game was ok... I don't know how to repeat the bug but still there is, even if very occasional, another bug i've found was that exiting and joining a new screen very fast (i was jumping\wallrunning) made me teleport to the very first screen of the level, wasn't able to repeat it too

It plays great on my modest box. It's a fairly difficult game. Harder than Spelunky for sure. The art style is great and the animation is incredible. However, there's something about the controls that make me feel like I'm never 100% in control of my character.

Yeah, I wasn't saying it was a bad thing Played it again, kicked Mudama's ass after about 8 tries. Before I was using mostly shurikens and hit and run tactics (like jump and dash attack when he tried to projectilee me) but I got wiser and figured out the best strategy is to get on his ass, with liberal use of rolls and the shift key (seems he can't break through your shield if you roll between combos). Killed him with about 1/4th of my health left Really though, I need to stress the ability to skip dialogue, most of those attempts, especially after I started going for close-range combat, ended faster than the combat did. So yeah. Cleared the demo, and I can't wait for more It plays great on my modest box. It's a fairly difficult game. Harder than Spelunky for sure. I think this is one of those games that take getting used to, and once you do your control of the character is very lucid and beyond that of most games

This is awesome. Ran fine for me. If I ever actually bought anything on XBLA this would be one of the things I'd get (but I don't). I'm much better at it this time around than in the last demos; I actually made it to the boss. Haven't beat him yet because the dialog is too annoying to sit through with how frequently I die. Only gripe aside from that is that some of the dialog, especially earlier, seems stiff, like inane said.
oh yeah
I found myself moving quickly through cleared areas by rolling and jumping at the same time, giving me a nice speed boost. But doing this sometimes got me stuck in the rolling animation. Wasn't too much of a biggie since all I had to do was throw a shurithingy to get unstuck, but maybe I shouldn't even be able to move that way in the first place? (though I am kind of thankful for it since it made travel much quicker.)

For some reason, the game runs perfectly well until I get into the building. At that point, it starts lagging badly - and because of this I die, so I can't say if it continues past that point or even if the game does.

It'll probably be more than 2 hours before he does, if he does so at all, Aznmonk. You can't just tough it out?

i can't tough it out because when I download it I can't use my (already) slow internet. I can wait if it takes off another hour(if it cuts it in half) because I have summer English homework to do. :[ I really want to download it, but if i do it'll take me hours. so if he posts a smaller download file I will be forever grateful. Sorry Inane I just can't tough it out. D:
