Status:Date set, now looking for a location So I thought we might as well start a new topic since we've been talking about this in the other thread... Location: It seems like most people do not want London due to the cost there- it seems a smaller, student city such as Cambridge or Oxford would be just as easy to go to, and much cheaper. Date: Probably on the weekend from December 4th to 7th. People willing to help for organization:- Guillaume: I'll be in Oxford for the year starting from mid-September, and I'm definitely willing to help if we settle down for Oxford, a little bit less if elsewhere.
- Corpus: Available for helping out

Color me interested, too Personally I'm fine with any date that is not earlier than the end of September, because if I try to take vacation AGAIN before that I'll probably get the evil eye from my boss. Also it's not any more expensive than Berlin for me, since it's practically the same distance (plus minus a 100km I guess). So, yeah, you guys tell me when and where and I'll most likely be there

I'm hoping for December, myself. The further away it is, the more money I will have at the time.

Oho, TIG Jam Engaland, sounds interesting. I have no plans for that time yet, so yeah, I might be able to join in. I'll see how things develop...

Oh, to tell you the dates I really can join you up,
it's middle october and after the first week of december till sylvester. Not that I want to force you now to make something there. It's just, if you do something in November, it's very likely for me to not join you at all.

Interested. Will happily do Oxford or Cambridge, but equally, I live in london, so that'd be the super easiest for me. I can probably house one or two (have a futon and a sleep-able couch).

If you get a venue where sleeping is allowed, that would be super best. I'd prioritize that over internet access even.

Whoa, to me internet access is so essential, it's inckuded in the definition of venue. For sleeping, if we do it in oxford, i'll be able to host 2-3 people. (based on how many pints of beer they donate to hum...my...cause)

We should still try for London - if we could work out a similar deal with a café to the one we had for BIGJam, for example, that would be ideal. Oxford and Cambridge would both make good alternatives, but London would still be better.
Unless you all disagree, of course.
Internet access isn't really THAT essential for a jam, by the way. If, say, you need help with programming, you're already sitting in a room full of programmers.

At the first No More Sweden, there was no internet access, but we could sleep there. At the second one, we had internet access, but sleeping was not allowed. Second was a big hassle, and we made good games at the first one anyway. @Corpus: London sounds good to me - as long as it's easy to get to.

Agreed. Do you have anything in mind? Surely there has to be some cool, open minded cafes in London. I'll only be arriving in the UK in mid september though, until then I'm in the US, so sadly I can't go exploring around at the moment.
