just had a dream. Dreamt of a game made by Konjak. Story was typical sci fi.
Interplanetary travel has become greatly advanced.  Mankind begins colonizing suitable planets. Everything is still in its early stages.

New technology allows for two way teleportation to all planets where the proper teleportation thingies are set up. This causes a tourism boom, most planets attract tourists. Most people of earth believe that there are eleven such planets. Because they're all eleven are popular tourist destinations. but they're wrong. there's twelve. One attracts no tourists. It's the planet of the indie. decendants of members of the tigsource forums have colonized it. They're all a bunch of goat farmers. Nothing interesting about the planet.

Game opens up in a very brief news scene that's being broadcasted to earth. Reporter is doing a story about the planet to raise awareness, because people forgot about it entirely. Talks about the great tourism boom that all the planets have and how this one attracts a total of zero tourists per year. Very small population. Indie planetary mayor talks about how they were sent to the planet with all the standard modules and colonization pods, but the bar and entertainment hospitality modules are still in orbit and have been since colonization due to some sort of error. Was about a hundred to two hundred years ago.

The one unique thing about the planet is their ray gun. which isn't a weapon, but an antiquated transit system. Teleportation short distances around the planet. Still in use. Reporter touches on these ancient, strange, people of indie. Then moves on, to touch on the next story the news program is about to talk about. Says there's no sign of the new little-known but deadly epidemic cold virus that's been spreading. Not on this planet. The host of the news show begins talking about the highly contagious plague cold, but then the tv is turned off. It's an old box tv. Konjak jr jr jr jr jr wasn't interested. Had to be somewhere.

He goes to the raygun teleport station thingy, to make his way to his girlfriend. Bunch of people Konjak jr jr jr jr jr hasn't seen before are at the station. Which is strange, he wonders if the schedule of the teleport has changed because he always takes this route and there's never very many people there. Armed guards come up behind Konjak jrjrjrjrjr, hereafter referred to as just konjak. These people are being told to remain calm and enter the teleporter to be sent to top of the line medical facilities. They have the epidemic mysterious science fiction virus. Reporterwoman brought it with her, and it started spreading through the capital city of goat farming indies.

Konjak knows he doesn't have anything, but goes through because he doesn't want to be shot. Instead of arriving at any medical facilities they were all sent to the middle of the great, giant, deadly desert. People start transforming into mutant monster things. Konjak remarks, "oh damn. It's one of those viruses." Begins running through them all, fights his way out. Enters the vast emptiness of the desert. He's thirsty. Reaches an oasis and begins doing backstrokes through it, swimming around. Happy. Makes his way away, junk begins building up in the sand. A sign of civilization. There's a hidden golf club weapon in the junk, which Konjak can use to fly for short distances for some reason, when he swings it really hard at something. Because golf clubs of the future allow people to fly. Some sort of superhardhitting gravity feature or something. If you swing it real hard stuff real hard you boost into the air from the force of it, can do it a couple times but then it has to recharge. Makes his way out of the junkyard, now beyond the mutants and fighting disheveled junked robots, many of which are similar to darns.

Makes his way to a city. Second level. A ghost town. In the beginning and on all planets holographic technology has become perfected as a cheap way to satiate the needs of the hospitality industry. All buildings have holographic servants, which, through some sort of forcefield technology, are solid. They have the capacity to learn. It's a flawless technology on all planets, as holographic people want only to serve, except for this planet.

One of the holograph people reads a book. Lousy horror story about a woman who gets murdered hiding in the bathroom. Holograph person hates her master, turns into the woman, runs into the bathroom and locks the door. Owner is puzzled, needs to use the bathroom. Turns around, there's a creepy holographman with a knife, the one straight out of the book. Owner is chased off by holographman.

Trend continues throughout the city where the technology is used. Becomes one massive, abandoned, dangerous ghost town. Indie people take to goat farming and never speak of the technology again. Konjak has to fight his way through. Has to break down supercomputers that power things, or he gets overwhelmed. Then I woke up.

Amazing dream! With a little more refinement, that would be a perfect game. Many a good game has been born of a dream.
