Interestingly, Salvador Dali once went to Disney in an attempt to make an animation with them -- apparently, he was a big fan of Walt Disney -- and in fact all the story boards were done; however, what with World War II and all the company could not afford to finish it. However, they actually recently got around to finishing the entire thing, releasing it a couple of years ago under the name "Destino". Disney is capable of things which aren't entirely and hopelessly money-grabbing... but they are rare.
On the other hand, now The Lion King 3: Rise of the X-Lions can finally be made -- I look forward to Wolverine's song about the circle of life!

I can imagine, Marvel creating a Darkwing Duck comic. I also see a crossover with Donald and Howard, my mind just broke thinking about it.

I love how Penny Arcade realised half way through making a comic that it would be a bloody pulp by the time they put it up, so they went with something a bit more clever.

Disney kicked up some fuzz here when they threatened Cinemas to not show Titan A.E., otherwise they'd be forbidden to show any Disney Movie at all. Needless to say, Titan A.E. never hit Cinemas here.
Not that Titan A.E. was really that good anyway... Some impressive 3D/hand-drawn blend, but other than that it was kinda meh.

I really really really don't like Disney, I find them two faced, Smiley and kid friendly up front, cold, dark and calculating behind. I always enjoyed Warner Bros. stuff more, until Space Jam, then things just got weird.

Isn't that that cartoon where they blow up the Earth and Matt Damon founds a new planet and calls it Bob or Jim or something?

Yes. Yes it was. I think that falls under the "pro" category. Titan AE is a fantastic movie if you don't take it seriously.

It's entertaining, yes, but doesn't really get farther than that, and it seemed to WANT to get farther, but failed in doing so. Also, I trust no corporations.

http://www.worth1000.com/contest.asp?contest_id=23840&display=photoshop&page=1#entriesEdit: I'm pretty sure that when Walter Elias Disney takes a look at page, he'll go like "Who the fuck is Namor? What have I done?"
