Hey guys,

I posted some info on Sein a couple of months ago - development is coming along really well, but I'm at a point where I'll need testers to make sure that the title runs smoothly on various platforms.

Sein is a 2d sidescroller that'll be released on PC in 2010. The title currently looks like this:

If you're interested in testing tech and the game, send me a PM.

Thanks Smiley

It should run nicely on any up to 3 year old machine.

Dual Core CPU and at least a 6800 should be enough to run it at 60fps.

Any installed libraries required? I wouldn't like installing XNA shit or somewhat for just playtesting a game.

that screen shot looks amazing. the art style reminds me of that limbo game and feist, with the silhouettes and all. almost like an oil panting come to life.

Thanks to everyone who helped testing the tech on their machines so far, really helps me figuring out how far I can push things and where the problems with older rigs lie.

Just wanted to add a note here so that I don't have to repeat myself in all the PMs: The tech stuff that I sent out is a simple testlevel with lots of post processing and pixel shader effects and was put together to see at what point the performance breaks down.

The goal is to make the game playable on any decent machine that was bought within the last 3-4 years. It seems like the biggest issue here are GPUs that have problems with pixel shaders. It seemed to run fine for most people here, but those with laptops that sport weak GPUs in that regard had a ton of problems regarding performance.

Thanks again to those that downloaded the techDemo and provided feedback, I really appreciate it and will make sure you guys get to see the actual game soon enough Smiley
