Is the Museum like the trophy system in SSBB and SSBM? I'm thinking it's basically a place where you can get more information about indie character x and also some incentive for achievan'/collectan' and what have you Gentleman

Just a suggestion, but maybe some of the characters who couldn't make it into the game could get an honorary mention? (Satan Sam, Little Fighter, Urbagility, etc.)

I think trophies or archivements could be a nice extra, but if the Museum is implemented at all (which I hope), it should really concentrate on the description of the character and their abilities in IB in my opinion as well as show their movelist (maybe even with the appropriate animation shown).

I think this would help people outside the indie community get around in IB who may not even know most of the characters and still it might be interesting for insiders too.

Maybe there's even a way to read data from the tigdb or at least link each game to it's tigdb page to promote the originals?

Yeah, I think it should be more like a simpler version of the trophy viewer in Super Smash Brothers Melee. Information, and maybe something like a link to the site where you can download the original game.

I would love trophies, but it'd have to be something a bit different... Golden busts? Pseudo 3D dioramas? MULTI-JOINTED ACTION FIGURES?

Or maybe even Hi-res digital paintings, that'd be kinda cool.

 Droop

Maybe we could see if any of the original artists are up for drawing new things especially for this game?

I'm thinking character profiles, backgrounds and the like.

At the very least, I'd like the museum to include-
-Descriptions of every character and an explanation of their move lists
-Descriptions of every game referenced
-Mentions of other great indie games

Original art would be nice, but very time-consuming (and that's time that could be spent on more characters and stages). Screen shots or fan art would be fine, I think.

There are no plans to make trading cards for the museum. In any case, the museum is pretty low on the priority list right now.

If you do want to work on it, though, I suppose you could write descriptions of indie games.
