About a week and a half ago I was suffering from restless nights. I just couldn't sleep. A certain dilemma was plaguing my mind that I couldn't stop thinking upon. I tried and tried to just forget about it, but it just would not go away. Eventually, I decided to consult with KniteBlargh.

In discussion it was found that he, also, was having problems sleeping. And it didn't stop there: our sleepless nights were caused by the same reason. What is this reason, you ask? Prepare yourself, for it may come as a surprise that:

Luap Sere is not pleased. His tea needs stirring.

As shocking as this may seem, it's true. We came to the only logical conclusion that a logical person thinking logically can reason upon: We must make a game about this.

So, we got together and labored away for a nearly indeterminate amount of time (although we estimate it to be around 3 days). KniteBlargh clicking veraciously on his mouse, and me tapping away relentlessly on my keyboard. Clic graciously provided the music (we actually just stole it from his archives), and we were done. It is now ready to be the catalyst that sets this World right.

While playing this game please keep in mind that this is not simply just a game, and you are not simply just playing. The fact that Sere's tea is not stirred is an invasion on humanity itself. "I disagree," you may say, but let me ask you this: Can you really hold that position with Sere's head nodding to the side in such disdain, his eyes burning a hole through your conscious? No. The answer is no, you can not.

thanks for the happy birthday -- i also will play this game soon, but i'm a bit too tired to play it today. good pixel art translation of a video capture though!

this isn't the first time i've been "in" a game in some form, unfortunately:

- fedora spade episode 4 (as lin ku)
- santa claus vs. the heroists
- ohr house (season one)
- harlock & rinku's game which includes the game bill's never go west

so this makes five D:

I wouldn't say it's unfortunate that you've been in 5 games now. I'd say that's a pretty awesome thing. Gentleman

haha, yes, that depends on if you like me or not. but it also feels a little bit too self-referential. like how some people write fanfiction about other fanfiction authors and put them in the story.

anyway, i haven't played the game yet, but my sister quite enjoyed it! she told me there was no way to win and that i wasn't pleased no matter how she stirred the tea. which is kind of the opposite of the video's intention (that one should be pleased by everything), but that just makes the game more interesting.

Ah, yes, and just because Luap Sere isn't pleased doesn't mean the player can't be. I suppose that's part of the irony.

I'm really glad to hear you liked the pixels Paul! Grin

Being included in five games now seems pretty sweet to me considering a friend of mine wanted to put me in his game, but it was never finished, so... You're five games ahead of me. Haha.

Awesome that your sister enjoyed the game by the way.

It's not that he's not pleased, he was just responding to your question. People tend to think that he's not pleased when he's actually responding to their badly worded question in the first place, could you use better defined terms next time?
