This Saturday is 24-Hour Comic Day. For those who've never heard of it, the goal is to create a 24-page comic, from start to finish, within 24 consecutive hours. I'll be participating, and i'm hoping that you will too. Instead of a normal comic, I'll be working on an interactive comic, like Bucky Swash. So, what's so special about this one?

It's multiplayer.

Your forum will be playing against another. You will each control one character (red for Destructoid, blue for TIGSource), and compete against each other to win the game within the alloted time limit. I'll explain the rules later (don't worry, there aren't many), but I will be running this game for exactly 24 hours this Saturday. Yes, this will be crazy. Yes, this could totally suck. But dammit, I'm going for it, and I'm gonna do my damn best to have fun with it too. More details to come, so please stay tuned, and prepare to bring your A-Game!

This will be great. Excellent idea, Theo Smiley I'll try to be around the forums here Saturday, since I'm not a Destructoid-goer.

All right, thank you! I know TIGSource has people from different time zones, so hopefully someone will be on in the wee hours of the morning to post commands. Otherwise, it'll be an easy opportunity for Destructoid to strike...

OFFICIAL RULES (To keep things fair):

1. There are two players in this game, the Bandit and the Sheriff. The Bandit (Red Team) must make it onto the train with his Bag O'Loot within the allotted time limit. The Sheriff (Blue Team), meanwhile, must capture the Bandit, preferably alive, before he can escape.

2. Each page will count as one unit of in-game time. Pages for each team will be posted as close to simultaneous as possible, on the hour for every hour the game is played.

3. Commands will be chosen by the Game Master (or GM, for short) before each page is drawn. If there is an issue with determining which of two actions comes first, the order will be determined by the post time. (Read: Post first, shoot first.)

4. Metagaming will be heavily frowned upon.  Metagaming will be defined as suggesting commands using knowledge that the player character doesn't/shouldn't know. For example, If you read that the other team is hiding in a particular box on the opposite side of the map, you may not immediately run over to check that box. You're allowed to read the other team's comic during the game, but only for entertainment. Any obvious attempts at metagaming will be ignored; if they persist, then there will karmic penalties for the team.

That's about all I can think of for now. In the meantime, I'll need names for each of the characters. Any suggestions?

Thank you! Hopefully we'll have enough people. It'd be incredibly lame if no one posts.

Oh, and this will be the Livestream channel. I'll turn this on when I start Saturday morning. Probably around 9 or 10 AM for me, 13:00 GMT.

If I've worked out the time zones correctly, then I should be perfectly placed to play during the early morning hours. I'm looking forward to it! Coffee

or if that's not allowed, then

> Go to the general store and ask about suspicious characters

ask if people at general store have seen people on your wanted posters. Robbing a bank is surely no singleton deed, thus the suspiciously suspicious robber may already be wanted for something else.

Go to train station and ask if people about the sleeping suspicious character, can't approach this  one directly. Let him sleep for now.

Edit: Also, why is our sheriff pointing his gun to the old cashier? Mock Anger
