I present to you: Art Game. A continuation of Art Game. Alternatively: a continuum. zShare || KongregateSeeing choice as a mechanic does nothing to change one of the major flaws of videogames (and one of the major elements that reduces the target audience to teenage boys): the fact that games are power fantasies where apparently insecure humans can get the illusion of control.
-Michael Samyn (Sorry for restarting a dead thread but I didn't want to start a new one) You are making games that would Michael Samyn would be most proud of. Although maybe you should make it more dark/depressive/empty.

I find it interesting that although the game tells me that control is an illusion, I am still able to influence the game (albeit in a minor way) by bringing up the Flixel pause menu.

The pause menu was intentional, as was the inclusion of controls on the pause menu (as opposed to changing all the controls to nothing).
I have to say, the comments I get on Art Game are amazing. Read some of them.

Question.
How do I stop these tears of joy that erupt the moment I open the game?

I have to say I prefer Zshare as an Art Game delivery device (we can't just call it a hosting site, that would be like just calling Art Games games) The touching story of Michelle, a young woman who was unable to shake that pesky body fat, but is now triumphantly now wearing pants far too large for her, only served to increase my enjoyment of this Artware.
I shed my hat to you sir, as I shed countless amounts of tears while playing this wonderful piece of Art.

I think you could've put more work into it. Like- when I made Duck Sim I at least wrote a stupid paragraph to coax people into playin along. When Glaeil made The Pilgrimage he put loads o crazy story nonsense n artist's statements n all that bollocks in to the point that most people genuinely tried to work it out. So yeah- I think you can do a lot better with this concept.
If I were you, then for Art Game 2 I would've covered it in logos n adverts n sponsorship intros and links like you'd sold out huge, but then act like it's no big deal. FEEDBACK!

One of the points of Art Game is that it didn't take any effort at all to make. That being said, new Art Games will be different.
