Oh god why? Are you making a 1980s teen film? Have you tried using last.fm to find similar artists? Or just wiki'ng soundtracks to bad 80s teen films like the breakfast club?

How about these from the teenwolf and monster squad, amazing films.

Last.fm doesn't have the word-of-mouth feeling. It's too clinical.

You say 1980s teen film like it's a bad thing! I'm making a mixtape for a friend. These songs are great, and exactly to my purposes.

Aside: have you seen Teen Wolf Too? Early Jason Bateman and BOXING and a ramshackle ending make a wonderfully sloppy movie.
