I tried to pick up as many pills as possible. Hilarity ensued.
(I got 27.)
I also tried as many as possible, resulting in 39.
That sounds like there's some nasty-sort of bug concerning the pill count. :D Thanks for the comments! It's good to hear that you enjoyed the bizarre concept.

Got 7 mistakes on the first try, one guy jumped on and 6 pills, on the last level which is really hard, well now let's get the most mistakes and 0 mistakes.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The game is absolutely hilarious and plays great, especially considering how difficult it is to implement the concept of a controllable character with a will of his own. Well done!

Why thank you! Someday I'll perhaps make a better version where the addict can actually complete the level fully on his own. Currently he has some serious suicidal tendencies.

your game has a really solid game mechanic. i really like how to game forces you to always be moving constantly and the hallucinating, shaky screen effect is really nice. i hope you expand on this and create some interesting levels that takes advantage of the mechanic because the levels right now aren't great. i have a suggestion on a next version. this is going to sound like a really a obvious step forwards but how about different drugs that gives you different hallucinations like how about a drug that makes you hallucinate enemies. so yeah.. i really like liked it and you better make a proper version.

Hey, I saw this got a pretty favourable write-up on playthisthing.com. Congratulations! Well-deserved recognition. Here's what I posted on playthisthing:
I think this experiment was pretty successful. And yeah, I think that there's a lot of potential in further exploring this kind of gameplay mechanic. It would be interesting, for example, if the character's demand for drugs (expressed as an inverse relationship to his responsiveness to controls) went down after he'd taken a few pills. Then there'd be a sort of feedback loop where the player would have to reach some sort of compromise with the character between the extremes of keeping him completely clean but constantly having to drag him away from the damn pills, or letting him feed his habit for the sake of an easier life, and enduring the resulting jitters and hallucinations. And then, the pills could start to wear off, and the cravings would start to increase again...
I'd love to see something like this implemented in a game where it wasn't the main focus, so you had a more standard-type quest, like rescuing the princess or whatever, but you had to do so at the same time as battling your cravings for drugs (you know, like in real life).

dbb: Cool to hear that you enjoyed the concept!
Further exploring might indeed be good, but such more-complex game would need very good balancing to not become too annoying.
