Share great artists that inspire you! I hope to be inspired, too! People were sharing some good artists to look at on my devlog, so I thought maybe I'd try here and see if I can discover more from you guys on TIGsource. Kim Jung Gi Akihiko Yoshida Hayao Miyazaki Yoshitaka Amano Takehiko Inoue Post your inspirations!

mod question: can we just bump up the 'cool art styles' thread and merge this with it? either this thread lives and that thread dies, which is sad cause that thread is a treasure trove of inspiration, or this thread dies and that's sad too cause it's already cool

Giorgio De Chirico, the guy that got me interested in drawing perspective. Emma Van Leest. Dennis Nona, an Australian Indigenous artist. Love his work, it's a real shame he went to jail for rape, though. Tove Jansson, the Finnish cartooning goddess. Shaun Tan. By the way, what's the tag to embed images to fit the page?

Damn! I tried to search similar threads by searching "inspiration" and "inspire" and I thought I was clear to make this one! Sorry about that. I was surprised not to find a similar thread. Up to admin to kill either one-- Thanks for sharing, though! These artists are AWESOME.

Oh I did't see there's another similar topic.. Is it more appropriate to delete that last post and put it in the other topic instead or.. ?

Like I said earlier, a mod can just merge the threads and make sure the contents of this thread goes at the end of the one that already exists. HEY MODS. I'll report.

I enjoyed "The triplets of Belleville". The film was highly praised by audiences and critics for its unique style of animation and was nominated for two Academy Awards—Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for "Belleville Rendez-vous". It was also screened out of competition (hors concours) at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. IMHO it is one of the best animation works I have ever seen.
