The second Lost Winds game came out on wiiware today. That looks pretty cool!
Ohshitreally? I'm going to continue to regret buying that HL1 bundle my computer was supposed to be able to handle forever. I did buy Machinarium though so happy times.

To be honest though, while they're are a lot of good games out there, there just aren't enough Uber-Awesome games...

I like how this has become a thread taunting Derek by suggesting more great games. I finally got a solid comp, so I'm looking back to 2003 for good games.

I'm immune to this problem... because I don't own consoles... Yeah same here, unless the N64 doesn't count (which it probably doesn't.) I've got my laptop, but that's just been my Game Maker/Spelunky machine as of lately.

I still haven't played Fallout 3.
Shame on you! A very good game in a loooong time. You forgot Borderlands, Derek!
Ahhh, 6 more days....

Seriously, just relax. You don't have to keep up with it. I've just started playing Everyday Shooter, I haven't played Braid yet, and my computer probably wouldn't even run Fallout 3 or whatever. And I'm a happy man. You don't need to keep up with the zeitgeist to be satisfied.
I really don't get this whole 'Christmas rush' thing, why all the mainstream studios try to release their games at the same time so that nobody can afford to get them all. It can only hurt them. But I hope they don't change it, because it's a great opportunity for indies - they're leaving a window in the rest of the year where we can stand out more easily.

What madness is this? Good games are never released anymore! Playing a new game means you have no taste!
I can't wait for L4D2...

Reviews of Borderlands seem positive for the most part, thoguh it does look kinda grindy.
But then again, so does Diablo 3, and I'm getting that at launch day.
Whenever the fuck that comes.

Except grinding in Diablo is fun, at least when you're playing online. Also, like a lot of people, I was extremely disappointed with Hellgate London and Borderlands looks like it could be the game Hellgate wasn't. Buying at launch.

I`ve been having a LOT of fun with Uncharted 2 this past week. The single player campaign has got me pretty hooked. And it just looks beautiful.

I heard it's a lot less "shooterish" than the first one. If that's true, I'm sure I'll love it.

Also heard that the stealth bits are the low points of the game.

I'm really looking forward to playing VVVVVVV, Machinarium, Eufloria, and Captain Forever.
I don't have any current consoles, and my aging PC can't handle most of what's coming out, so my current list consists mostly of things that (I hope) will run on my computer.

Machinarium runs fine on my 2.00Ghz/512MB RAM IBM laptop! Of course, 1024x768 isn't the best resolution for such a game (think of the details), but still hell awesome.

Can you name a game where the stealth bits are NOT the low points (except for Thief)?
