Oh god, I tried to do a pixel art, but all color control/consistency goes out the window when I try to do a piece this big. Oh well! This is great! I like how they look like aliens from some old sci-fi movie. It's an interesting interpretation too, considering their somewhat gingerbreadmanly looks in the game.

Just bought it, and I have to say that purchasing this via Fastspring was very quick and convenient. This is what e-shopping is all about This also marks as the first indie game I've bought online (I turned 18 only about a year ago and it took me quite a while to figure out how to pay online globally with my Visa Electron, turns out you had to check this "Enable e-buying" checkbox deep hidden in the settings panel of the webbank). I know this part would probably go better to that indie piracy thread, but one reason I've never bothered to pirate indie games because finding them would be a pain in the ass. Though since I was underage until recently, it ended up with me not playing full versions of commercial indie games at all, which was quite unfortunate. Now that I have the capability of paying at ease, I'll be finally able to play all those indie games I've wanted to. Hopefully the buying will be equally painless and convenient in their case. Now, onto the game itself, so far so good. Currently dying on Veni Vidi Vici. It's pretty annoying though that the worst enemy in this game is the framerate - combined with the slippery physics it makes for quite annoying situations at times. To make matters worse, the game slows down even more if I maximize it on windowed mode (running on a 1920x1200 screen). Fullscreen is not an option due to the extreme blurring it causes. Now I pretty much play it in a small window using Windows 7 magnifier to make it "fullscreen" in order to have the best framerate as possible while filling the screen. Works quite well, but quite inconvenient when you want to do something else. Anyway, guess I'll get back to the game now.

I really love this game but I'm somehow stuck in a room with the professor where you have to navigate him through spikes and platforms via switching from ceiling to floor

Hey Terry, would you, quite possibly, accept $14.98 for VVVVVV?

uh, the blurriness in fullscreen is not at all aesthetically appealing and i'm not sure how it could be construed as such. with pixels, crisp=better.
Normally I'd totally agree with you, but for me VVVVVV is an exception. Maybe it's because the pixels are so large, and the sprits so simple, but I actually found I preferred the blurry full-screen mode; after playing in blurry-mode for the first hour or so, I tried switching to the crisp, non-interpolated view and found it a bit "cold" and unatmospheric somehow. Like the other pro-blurry poster said, I guess this is because it reminded me of playing games on old computers that used the TV as a monitor. But yeah, this surprised me, because in every other case I'd totally agree with you. I'm going to have to go away and think about this.

What do you have in mind? The drag+drop dmg setup, or?
Yes, or even better: just a Zip archive containing VVVVVV.app.

That's what I raged about... And then I tried it on Chrome. No lag whatsoever!

I quite liked the blur, too - made it look more like an 8bit game viewed on a TV

I'm an idiot. I was checking out the title menu just now and discovered the invincibility option. I decided to turn it on just to have some fun exploring without danger. Unfortunately, I didn't take the time to read the message and instinctively selected "yes". Feel free to laugh at me.
