Well, to be fair the majority of users on these forums are over the age of 18. From my count it breaks down like this: 19 and above = 122 18 and below = 69 very interesting demographic, I suspected that the average age was probably mid 20s... |

This poll is a stark reminder of the high mortality rates of indie life. Most of you will not survive the years. Most are in their late teens, mid twenties. As the years draw onward, more and more are picked off through war, famine, natural selection. The lucky ones make it into their 30s. It's a stinking world because there's no law and order any more. It's also probably because games as a medium are still young, and only in the last 5-10 years has there been good opportunity for people to get into games through an indie path, with Flash, game making programs, etc, and digital distribution coming into its stride.
