Firstly. I love this comp idea and also it's the first one I'll be taking part in. So in the coming weeks, below, you'll find many a sound effects and many a musical numbers. I usually work with real world sound design and music writing on physical instruments. For this comp I'm thinking of doing things a little more different and making things much more lofi.

Any comments questions and suggestions are appreciated. Onwards and upwards my friends.

Kinda relieved that there is a couple of us who are composing like this for the first time. Good luck. I hope to see some cool songs/sounds come up here later on.

Yes!  The lower the fi the better!

Yeah, this comp is great.  Never been able to finish making a game, but i've always enjoyed making music.  In fact, for me, making a game is an excuse to make music for it.

I think you should do what you're inspired in. It's cool to try new things, but I believe not all games will be "8-bit", so don't make lo-fi if you don't feel like it.

But of course, trying new things can be awesome too.

In my opinion, more games should use acoustic guitars solos Smiley

Thanks for the good words guys. Been putting together a couple tracks over the past week. One beat heavy lo-fi goodness track, and one SLOOOOOOOW brooding guitar thing (couldn't help myself  Shrug )

I'm packing up my life at the moment and moving on Sunday. So expect to hear them come Monday. As any other musicians know, gear always gets unpacked first!  Tongue

Thinking of throwing some vocals into the slow piece as well, no words, just sounds.

Updates soon!

Finished off the first cut of a theme track. Electronic stuff and some lofi drums. Just gotta make it loop a little cleaner. Gimme feedback.

I can hear that you're a melancholic kind of guy Smiley

Today My Shadow Is A Pharaoh - I like the drum & bassish drum rythms, it's a nice mellow tune but fast as well.

Theme1 - Nike track. I can picture the beginning of a trip, going away from home. Like for a level right after the sandbox tutorial part, when you start to get some real action (but not hard). I really liked this one.

Nice job!
