It's that time of the year again when all us hopeful indies are crunching (or have been crunching) for that important IGF submission deadline. I'm hoping to submit a game myself (my 3rd time!) and I was thinking a thread on TIG could be a useful way to keep people's spirits up during this all-important last week of crunch. So who's getting ready to submit to the Independent Games Festival in less than a week?

Bento will probably submit Tanaka's Friendly Adventure (flash).

I may also make and submit my IGF last minute entry.

I was crunching to get something ready, but it quickly proved too much. It came to the point where I was having to do much shoddier work just to meet the deadline. Maybe next year, eh?

So kudos to everyone still going crazy on their project, keep it up!

I've been planning to submit Battle Beat but I'm not too confident in the level of polish my submission will have. I also have to figure out what pieces I should submit (restrict it to the XBox360 CC membership-required .ccgame file, or let them have a PC version as well and hope they use a guitar controller + adapter and not the shoddy keyboard controls, and hope the players also don't have trouble setting up the XNA redistributable on their machines... hrmph)

I just finished a brand new game for IGF 2010 titled "Art of Crime". I may do a bit more play-test for some last minute clean up but this morning's build is pretty much clean.

So, taking it from the IGF ftp... Do we access the other participant's game too or we can only see the names?  Wink Ah ha!

You can see the names but you can't download other games, Guert. Phew Tongue

BTW, Xbox Live Indie Games are proving to be 'fun' to deal with this year, but we would prefer that everyone submit a .ccgame file _and_ also download codes if the game is live on XBLIG already, with a PC version as well if it runs OK - that gives us three versions to potentially try out.

Oh yeah true, now with all the virtual console plateforms, it must be tricky to deal with those. Anyways, I'm excited to see what will happen next. Ah ha! Well, I greatly expected that other games weren't accessible. Wink

I dunno why but the IGF put me in the mood for grinding.  Evil

That sounds very creepy and I'm interested in learning more.

Been crunching for a few weeks now, so much that I really haven't had time to put together a blog entry or forum devlog on my project.  Hope to have a multilevel demo ready for the deadline.

I still haven't hit crunch mentality, but probably won't sleep this weekend. Captain Successor is nearly done.

I'm not crunching, but tensions are high!I'd originally planned to have something ready for this year, but it fell through.
